What:

City Carrier Dennis Webber has been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council’s “Million Mile Club” for achieving thirty or more years of accident-free driving on the job.

Webber, a 42-year veteran of the Postal Service, has worked his entire career at the Oil City Post Office. He will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan and Oil City Postmaster Wade Altman in a brief ceremony among their coworkers.

To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles. Many commercial driver organizations consider the Million Mile Club to be the “hall of fame” for a professional driver.

"Mr. Altman is an outstanding postal employee in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Altman. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Dennis is very conscientious and his leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce."
