PHILADELPHIA – On July 21st, the U.S. Postal Service presented a proposal that included the relocation of the Schuykill Postal Station retail services, located at 2900 Grays Ferry Avenue, to a retail space in the Grays Ferry Shopping Center at 3005 Grays Ferry Avenue.
After consideration of the discussion and feedback, the Postal Service has announced it is moving forward on the proposal.
As noted, postal retail services will remain in the community at the current location until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office. There will be no change to Post Office Box numbers or ZIP Codes.
The Postal Service does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses; it relies entirely on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
