Bridgeville Post Office City Carriers John “Jack” Schanbacher and David Holl have been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council’s “Million Mile Club” for achieving thirty or more years of accident-free driving on the job. Schanbacher and Holl will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan, Bridgeville Officer-in-Charge Jeanine Adams, and Manager Post Office Operations David Kucenic in a brief ceremony among their coworkers. Bridgeville Distribution Clerk David Williard will receive a special certificate for working 43 years without an accident (of any kind). Sixteen additional employees will be recognized for various years of safe driving or accident-free years of service. To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles. "These are outstanding postal employees in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Adams. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Each member of this group is very conscientious and their leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce." |
