Four New Kensington Post Office Employees to Be Recognized with Membership in National Safety Council’s Prestigious “Million Mile Club”

Special presentation to elite professional drivers for 30 years without an accident

What:

New Kensington Post Office City Carriers David Wick, Michael Penn, and Jeffrey Ewing, along with Maintenance Custodian Albert Nagle, have been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council’s “Million Mile Club” for achieving thirty or more years of accident-free driving on the job.

Wick, Penn, Ewing, and Nagle will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from New Kensington Postmaster David Sharick, and Manager Post Office Operations Mike Olsavsky in a brief ceremony among their coworkers. Wick will also we recognized for thirty-years of service as moves on toward retirement. Other employee recognitions will take place for various years of safe driving.

To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles.

"These are outstanding postal employees in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Sharick. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Each member of this group is very conscientious and their leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce."
