PHILADELPHIA — The United States Postal Service, working in conjunction with the Postal Inspection Service and other law enforcement agencies, announced that several mail collection boxes will be blocked and out-of-service along the Villanova parade route (a list of those boxes follows this release).
The collection boxes will be removed from service beginning Thursday, April 5, and will be reopened for service on Friday, April 6, 2018. Postal officials emphasize this is a precautionary security measure only.
A list of impacted collection boxes follows this release.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
