Monaca Post Office City Carriers Ronald Fetch, Walter Sluzynsky, Robert Malley, George Zilk, and Paul Reft have been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council’s “Million Mile Club” for achieving thirty or more years of accident-free driving on the job. Fetch (40 yrs.), Sluzynsky (39 yrs.), Malley (36 yrs.), Zilk (31 yrs.), and Reft (30 yrs.) will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Monaca Supervisor Renee Baldinger and Post Office Operations Manager Lisa Henn in a brief ceremony among their coworkers. Sluzynsky will also we recognized for 42 years of service as he moves on toward retirement on July 1. Other employee recognitions will take place for various years of safe driving. To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles. "These are outstanding postal employees in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Baldinger. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Each member of this group is very conscientious and their leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce." |
