Postal officials remind local residents that post offices across Puerto Rico will be closed on Saturday, July 25 to celebrate Puerto Rico Constitution Day.
No window services in the postal retail lobbies or distribution of post office box mail will take place in Puerto Rico on Saturday. There will be no delivery of mail by carriers on Saturday, with the exception of some package deliveries.
Officials add that there will be no collection of mail from local blue collection boxes on Puerto Rico Constitution Day.
Regular postal services in Puerto Rico will resume on Monday.
The Postal Service’s website – usps.com – remains available throughout the weekend as usual for services such as online ordering of stamps, information on postal products, filing an address change or package tracking.
A simple click in the top left corner of the Postal Service website switches the language of the website from English to Spanish or Chinese for much subject content.
The Postal Service’s Caribbean District which serves Puerto Rico also services the US Virgin Islands. There will be full mail delivery service and regular postal retail operations in the VI and in all other regions of the US on Saturday.
