“Latino Express” extends Postal Services in

West Columbia with Contract Postal Unit

Postal customers, especially those in the Hispanic community, will now enjoy increased access and convenient hours for retail Postal Service at a new Contract Postal Unit (CPU) in Latino Express, a tax and insurance service at 501 Meeting St. in West Columbia. Owner Ingrid Diaz will host a grand opening on Saturday, July 23.

Full retail window service is available, except money orders and P.O. boxes, at face value prices.

“At the Latino Express CPU, you can do nearly everything you can do at a Post Office, without the trip to the Post Office™,” said Diaz. “We offer convenient location, parking and hours with little or no waiting. Our personalized service can make your business mailings easy and fast. We especially want to welcome customers from the Hispanic community, se habla Espanol.”

“The Postal Service continues to expand access to retail service by opening alternate access sites like Contract Postal Units,” said Greater South Carolina Postal Marketing Manager Debbie Olavarria. “Latino Express is the 47th CPU location in the Greater South Carolina District, and the 14th in the Columbia area.

Services include:

  • Free US Postal Service™ Express Mail and Priority packaging supplies
  • Buy stamps (booklets and coils) at face value
  • Ship and mail at Post Office™ prices
  • Delivery Confirmation, Insurance, Certified Mail and other Special Services
