Jed Daughtry

Jed Daughtry, Office Services Assistant of the United Way of Greenville County, was recently named an Executive Board Member of the Upstate Postal Customer Council of the U. S. Postal Service.

Daughtry is married to Sheila, an elementary school teacher, and has 5 children and one grandchild. He has been at the United Way for 12 years where he prints large direct mail solicitations and training materials. Additionally, he recruits volunteers and assists in property management.

He will serve on the Communications Committee of the UPCC. He is a graduate of USC Upstate. “Because of what I have learned from UPCC seminars, the United Way saves at least 75% of postage on large mailings. This leaves more money for our mission.” said Daughtry. “By serving on the UPCC, my goal is to encourage medium and smaller nonprofits to use direct mail to further their missions and realize the savings available to them. The US Post Office can be a great partner for these nonprofits and is continually adding easy-to-use and low-cost services such as Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM).”
