SIOUX FALLS, SD — To assist those traveling out-of-the-country for business or pleasure, the Sioux Falls Main Post Office, 320 S. 2nd Ave., and the Meadows Postal Store, 2501 S. Louise Ave., provide passport information and accept passport applications.
To best assist customers, passport applications will be accepted by appointment only effective Feb. 2.
For an appointment at the Main Post Office, call 605-357-5011. Appointment hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
For an appointment at the Meadows Postal Store, call 605-575-3561. Appointment hours are Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
U.S Citizens must present a valid passport book when entering or re-entering the United States by air. U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports of entry must present a passport book, passport card or other travel documents approved by the U.S. government.
Information, a list of fees and instructions how to apply for a U.S. passport is available at http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english.html. U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778. Passport photos will be available at both sites for $15.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
