Postal Service looking to fill over 70 positions in Memphis and Nashville

TENNESSEE DISTRICT — If you, a family member, a neighbor or a friend are seeking a job, the U.S. Postal Service has good news for you. The agency is looking to fill over 70 skilled maintenance worker positions in Memphis and Nashville.

The pay ranges from $18.94 and may go up to $25.01 per hour, depending on the position.

Those interested are encouraged to attend upcoming job fairs, where prospective applicants can watch a video presentation showing the type of work each job entails; talk first-hand to Maintenance employees; hear about benefits from Human Resource specialists; and see live demonstrations on how to go online and apply for postal jobs.

Those who are unable to attend the job fairs can still apply online at www.usps.com, beginning March 28th. Jobs will be posted for limited time, so apply early.

A written exam is required — Maintenance Exam 955. Instructions regarding the exam process will be sent via email once the candidate successfully submits an online application. Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the Postal Service’s requirement to be drug free. Applicants must also be a U. S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident alien, or a citizen of a territory owing allegiance to the United States. For positions requiring driving, applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.

The Postal Service will communicate with candidates by email concerning applications, so it is very important that applicants are able to receive messages.
