December 11, 2009

EULESS, TX—Officer-In-Charge Byron Archila today announced adjusted Post Office retail hours for the upcoming Christmas Holidays. Due to anticipated low customer demand, the Euless Post Office, located at 210 N. For customers requiring full Post Office services, all Post Offices in nearby Fort Worth and Arlington will remain open normal hours on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.

The Euless Post Office will be closed Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas Day holiday and also closed on Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. There will be no mail collections and only Express Mail deliveries will be provided on the Christmas Day and New Year’s Day holidays.

Regular Post Office retail hours of operation and full mail delivery services will resume on the Saturdays following the holidays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation, 150 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars. With 36,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, the Postal Service relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses. Named the Most Trusted Government Agency five consecutive years and the sixth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $68 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail. If it were a private sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 26th in the 2008 Fortune 500.
