PALUXY, TX – The U.S. Postal Service implemented an emergency suspension of the Paluxy, TX Post Office, located at 9421 Paluxy Circle, until futher notice.  Alternate service will be provided by the nearby Tolar Post Office, located 10.3 miles away.  There are approximately 48 customers receiving PO box delivery at the Paluxy Post Office, ZIP Code 76467.

“Due to a broken water pipe there is no running water to the Paluxy Post Office; thus, there is no basic sewage disposal,” said Post Office Operations Manager Anthony Willis, with the USPS Fort Worth District.  “This condition is unsuitable and is a health hazard to our employees as well as to our customers.  Therefore, it has become necessary to suspend service at this facility.  This suspension will be effective immediately.”

While this office is under an emergency suspension, Paluxy Post Office customers will receive mail delivery through PO box service at the Tolar Post Office, located at 9101 W Highway 377.

Mailing addresses for customers served by the Paluxy Post Office will remain the same - PO box numbers and last line of information (city, state and ZIP) will not change.  Paluxy Post Office customers should contact the Tolar Postmaster to obtain keys for their new PO box.

The Tolar Post Office has 24-hour lobby access for customer convenience.  Retail window service hours are Weekdays, 8 a.m. to 1200 noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m., and on Saturday, from 8 to 10 a.m.
