SPRING BRANCH, TX – The U.S. Postal Service is proposing the relocation of the Spring Branch Post Office, located at 10650 Hwy. 281 N in Spring Branch, TX to a yet-to-be-determined location within the same ZIP Code. The office is currently located on property required for an expansion of US Highway 281.
If the move is approved, there would be no impact on letter carrier delivery to residents and businesses served by this office, and no change to Post Office Box numbers or ZIP Codes.
A representative from the Real Estate Branch of the U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting to discuss the proposal. The meeting will be held at the Bulverde-Spring Branch Library, 131 Bulverde Crossing in Bulverde, TX 78163 on Thursday, January 09 at 5:30 pm.
Public input on this proposed relocation is welcome. Written comments will be accepted until January 24, 2014.

A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation: 152 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. With more than 31,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world's mail. If it were a private-sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 42nd in the 2012 Fortune 500. The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for seven years and the fourth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute.
