NASHVILLE, TN — The U.S. Postal Service today recognized Gamestop headquartered in Grapevine, TX, with its Mail Technology Award for the company’s support of the success of mail and its commitment to a successful business relationship with the Postal Service.
Gamestop, a global multichannel video game, consumer electronics and wireless services retailer which operates more than 7,100 retail locations across 14 countries, was one of 12 companies recognized this year by the Postal Service at the National Postal Forum (NPF), which for more than 40 years has been recognized as the premier educational trade show for the mailing industry. The forum is being held this week in Nashville, TN.

The Mail Technology Award, presented annually at NPF, recognizes Postal Service customers who have implemented innovative mailing solutions. Winning companies embrace new technologies and implement best practices to improve efficiency and productivity in mail operations. They provide customers with a mail product that delivers increased value, benefitting both customers and the mailing industry.
The partnership between Gamestop and the Postal Service has propelled Gamestop to the cutting edge by offering the latest mail service technology and innovative ideas to reach customers. Gamestop, worked closely with the Postal Service on a ship-from-store solution which helps their retail locations leverage existing inventory across all shopping channels. They can now put merchandise in the customer’s hands quickly with next-day or two day shipping.
Gamestop took a combination of postal knowledge and innovative thinking to become a front-runner in the mailing industry. By investing in technology, streamlining operations and customizing programs, the company has managed to stay ahead of the curve and meet the needs of customers, thus increasing market share. They currently operate distribution centers in Grapevine, TX and Louisville, KY which handle both product warehousing and order fulfillment.
