MOULTON, TX — Today, the U.S. Postal Service implemented an emergency suspension until further notice for the Moulton Post Office, located at 206 S Main St., Moulton, TX 77975, This temporary move is due to a hazardous situation within the facility resulting from a sewer system backflow into the building over the weekend.

While the Moulton Post Office is under an emergency suspension, alternate retail and P.O. Box services for approximately 500 customers will be provided by the nearby Shiner Post Office, 217 W 7th St, Shiner, TX 77984.  Moulton customers can pick up their mail at the Shiner Post Office window during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday 9:30am - 11:30am. The office’s retail window is closed on Sunday.

Until a complete health and safety assessment is completed, and appropriate clean-up completed, only authorized personnel will be permitted inside the facility.  Currently, there is no timeline for resumption of postal operations at this office.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience to our customers. The safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of utmost importance to the Postal Service. We are working to resolve this issue, and will provide a status update to our customers once a thorough assessment has been completed.
