AUSTIN, TX - While the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is looking to hire up to 30,000 seasonal workers nationwide for the upcoming holiday period, there are specific job openings at many locations in Central Texas.

The City of Austin Post Office  and other offices in the Central Texas area are currently hiring Casual (temporary) Mail Handlers, Holiday Clerk Assistants, PSE Mail Processing Clerk’s and Holiday Tractor-Trailer Operators. Hiring for these positions is currently underway for the holiday peak season, which will begin Nov. 12, 2016, and runs through Jan. 3, 2017.

In addition to the holiday seasonal help, the Postal Service in Central Texas is also hiring City Carrier Assistants, Rural Carrier Associates and Postal Support Employee Clerk positions. They are entry-level career path positions.
