FORT WORTH, TX — The U.S. Postal Service would like the season to be merry and bright for our customers this year. To help with the hustle of the holiday, we are working around the clock to provide a variety of shipping and mailing options for customers.

A total of five Fort Worth Postal facilities will provide postal customers convenient holiday retail hours on both Sunday, December 11 and 18.

While the Postal Service recommends getting Priority Mail packages and First-Class letters and cards in the mail by Tuesday, Dec. 20, to reach addressees nationwide in time for the Christmas Day holiday, the Sunday retail hours offer convenience for customers who need the weekend to finish their holiday shopping and shipping.

“Getting the mail to us early in the day Sunday will speed the processing and delivery of Fort Worth metro area customers’ holiday mail,” said Fort Worth Postmaster Kevin Farmer. “In addition, there will be delivery of packages in the metro area on Sunday to help get holiday gifts to their recipients promptly.”

The select area Post Offices listed below will be open on Sunday, December 11 and 18 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM, as well as extended hours on Saturday, December 17. The designated Post Offices will provide full retail services, including stamp sales and package acceptance.  Locations, dates and extended hours of Saturday retail operations include:

Also, many Fort Worth Post Offices have self-service kiosks available 24/7, where customers can buy postage and ship small- and medium-sized parcels using a debit or credit card. For expected delivery of holiday mail and packages by Dec. 25, the Postal Service recommends keeping the following mailing and shipping deadlines in mind:

Dec. 09 – Military APO/FPO/DPO Priority Mail & APO/FPO First-Class Mail
Dec. 15 – USPS Retail Ground (domestic)
Dec. 16 – Military APO/FPO/DPO Priority Mail Express
Dec. 20 – First-Class Mail Cards and Letters
Dec. 21 – Priority Mail
Dec. 23 – Priority Mail Express

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
