SAN ANTONIO, TX — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail services from the Alamo Heights Station Post Office facility, located at 4801 Broadway St., San Antonio, TX 78209, to a new, yet-to-be-determined location as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office location in order to better serve postal customers in the community.

The U.S. Postal Service will be hosting a public meeting at 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 6, at the Alamo Heights Station Post Office.  Officials with the Postal Service’s Facility Department will be there to share information and answer questions.

Postal customers, including those unable to attend the April 6 meeting, may submit written comments to the following address:

U.S. Postal Service Southern Facilities Service Office
c/o Damian Salazar, Real Estate Specialist
7800 N. Stemmons Freeway, Suite 400
Dallas, TX 75247-4220

The Postal Service will consider all comments prior to making its final decision.  All comments and recommendations received by May 8, 2017, will be considered.

A public notice, along with a copy of the Postal Service’s letter to the Alamo Heights mayor, is currently posted in the lobby of the Alamo Heights Station.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
