LINDALE, TX — Postal officials suspended retail services at the Lindale, TX Post Office, due to severe structural damage.  Mail delivery will not be affected.

Arrangements have been made for Post Office Box customers to pick up their mail at the Lindale Post Office, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today.

Alternate retail services are available at the Tyler Main Post Office located at 2100 W Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tyler, TX 75702.  The Tyler Main Post Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Postal Service regrets any inconvenience to its customers and will work to restore operations for this office as soon as possible.

Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s Website www.usps.com to get the location of other nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
