SPRING BRANCH, TX — A new Spring Branch Post Office building is scheduled to open for business on Aug. 28. The new office will be located at 132 Blazing Meadows, Spring Branch, TX 78070, on the corner of Blazing Meadows and U.S. Hwy 281 N., on a 3.756-acre site. The new facility will replace the current Post Office, at 10650 U.S. Hwy. 281 N., now situated on property required for the expansion of U.S. Hwy. 281.
The new Post Office is wood frame construction with local stone exterior and gabled metal roof, reflective of the Hill Country. The interior of the new facility will be 11,145 net square feet. The facility, including the exterior dock, will be 11,931 gross square feet. The new office will provide two full service counters for customers and a PO Box section that includes parcel lockers. There are 26 customer parking spaces with provisions for 25 letter carrier routes and an additional 38 employee parking spaces.
Retail hours of operation at the new Spring Branch Post Office location will remain the same as the old location: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m., and closed Sunday. PO Box holders will continue to have the same box number used at the former location; however, new keys will be issued to PO Box holders.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
