Houston, TX — Due to recent impacts from Hurricane Harvey, some customers in Houston and Katy, TX, are being directed to pick up their mail at alternate locations.  As conditions improve, the Postal Service has continued to restore service to all Greater Houston area customers, as quickly as possible.

Bear Creek Station - Houston, TX

Effective September 22, 2017, P.O. Box customers at the Bear Creek Station can pick up their mail and packages at the temporary modular unit, located at 16015 Cairnway Dr., Houston TX 77084-9998.

** Effective September 27, 2017, Bear Creek customers will no longer need to travel to the Fleetwood postal facility at 315 Addicks Howell Rd to retrieve their mail or packages.**

P.O. Box pickup service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customers will keep their original assigned P.O. Box and key. Replacement keys are available onsite, however, a valid photo identification must be presented in order to obtain a key.  Customers can obtain keys Monday - Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Retail services continue to be available at the same location, via our mobile retail van, where customers can purchase stamps, postage or other services and mail packages or letters.  Retail services are offered five days a week, Monday – Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Saturday.

In addition, any customer who receives a “Left Notice” form in their mailbox can pick up items at a second temporary structure at the same location starting Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Pickup services will be available Monday - Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed on Saturday.

As a reminder to residential customers who receive delivery at their homes, the Postal Service will deliver as long as it is safe to do so. If your mailbox was damaged or knocked down during the recent flooding, please ensure you reinstall the mailbox so we can make delivery.  If you are unable to receive mail at your home or business, you can fill out a Change of Address (COA) form to temporarily forward your mail.  A COA card is available from your letter carrier or at your local Post Office. COA requests also may be filed at usps.com, the Postal Service’s website that is available to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We appreciate the patience of our customers, as the Postal Service continues working hard to restore prompt and reliable mail delivery service to all customers.
