BELTON, TX — The U.S. Postal Service wants the season to be merry and bright for our customers this year. To help with the hustle of the holidays, we are working around the clock to provide a variety of shipping and mailing options for customers, including extending retail hours in some locations.

On Saturday, Dec. 16, the Belton Post Office, located at 111 N Wall St., will be extending retail hours to 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to better serve postal customers this holiday mailing season.

More information on locations and hours of operation for other Post Offices can be found online at www.usps.com under “Find USPS Locations.”

For expected delivery of holiday mail and packages by Dec. 25*, the Postal Service recommends keeping the following mailing and shipping deadlines in mind:

USPS Retail Ground™ - December 14

First-Class Mail® - December 19

Priority Mail® - December 20

Priority Mail Express® - December 22**

*Actual delivery date may vary and is based on origin, destination, Post Office acceptance time and other conditions.

**For Priority Mail Express® shipments mailed December 23 through December 25, the money-back guarantee applies only if the shipment was not delivered, or delivery was not attempted, within two (2) business days.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
