BURLINGTON, TX — Following a community meeting and U.S. Postal Service review of all public feedback, the Postal Service has made a final decision to relocate retail services at the Burlington Post Office from its previous location at 14 Church Ave., Burlington, TX 76519, to a new, yet-to-be determined nearby location.
The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were previously provided to our customers at the former location. Services at the Burlington Post Office were suspended on an emergency basis due to safety concerns with the building. Operations were temporarily relocated to the Rosebud Post Office, 206 N 5th St, Rosebud, TX 76570, and will remain there until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.
While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Burlington community, the USPS properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
