PROVO, Utah — Richard A. Brandon has been named the new Postmaster of Provo. Brandon is responsible for all delivery and retail operations in the Provo area, which includes 215 employees, 2 retail stations and carrier units, and 38,630 addresses served by more than 60 delivery routes. In addition he is responsible for the Provo East Bay Processing facility that processes mail for all offices and deliveries in ZIP Codes beginning with 845, 846, and 847.
“Providing excellent customer service will be our goal,” said Brandon, who served as Orem Postmaster the last four years.
Brandon started his postal career in 1986 as a letter carrier in Bountiful, Utah. A year later he transferred to Provo, where he was a letter carrier for 10 years. Since then he has held numerous management positions including Supervisor, Customer Services in Orem; Postmaster in American Fork, and Acting Manager Post Office Operations, and Acting Manager, Operations Programs Support for the Salt Lake City Postal District.
Brandon and spouse Debbie have been married for 24 years. They have four children, three sons and one daughter.
Brandon replaces former Provo Postmaster Steven Chaus, who was promoted to another position.
