SALT LAKE CITY — Heavy rains that resulted in a leaking roof have forced the temporary suspension of operations at the Cottonwood Branch at 6890 S. 2300 East. Mail delivery to the area will continue, however, retail and Post Office Box operations have been temporarily suspended.
It is anticipated retail and Post Office Box operations will resume by the weekend.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers,” said Salt Lake City Postmaster Steve Chaus. “We are working quickly to get things cleaned up, building assessed and repairs made. We will reopen as soon as it’s safe to do so – hopefully by the weekend.”
