Merrifield VA —Northern Virginia Post Offices will be adjusting delivery, collection retail and BMEU hours for the July 4 holiday weekend as follows:
Delivery Operations
- All post offices will provide delivery services Friday July 3.
- There will be no delivery Saturday July 4 except for premium-holiday-service Express Mail
- There will be no delivery Sunday July 5 except for premium-Sunday-service Express Mail
Collection Operations
- All collection box pick-up times will be advanced to 12:00 noon Friday.
Retail Operations
- Customer traffic at postal retail counters decreases significantly on July 3. To balance anticipated customer needs with efficient use of postal resources, all retail lobbies will close at 12 noon July 3 with the exception of the offices listed below. No retail offices will be open Saturday July 4 or Sunday July 5.
