Post Offices in ZIP Codes beginning with 224-225, 228-239 and 244 will observe the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
Post Office Window Operations
- All Retail offices will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 24th and Friday, Dec. 31st.
- All Retail offices will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 25th and Saturday, Jan. 1st.
- All post offices will provide full delivery service on Friday, Dec. 24th and Friday, Dec. 31st.
- There will be no delivery Saturday, Dec. 25th or Saturday, Jan.1st except for Premium Express Mail.
Delivery Operations
Collection Operations
- The last pick-up time at all collection boxes and lobby drop slots will be at noon on Friday, Dec. 24th and Friday, December 31st.
- No collection box pick-ups will be made on Saturday, Dec. 25th and Saturday, Jan. 1st.
Normal retail, delivery and collection schedules will resume on Monday, Dec. 27th.
PO Box customers will have full access to their lobby boxes. Commercial customers are asked to check with their Business Mail Entry Unit for Dec. 24th and 31st hours of operation.
Following is a list of Contract Postal Units (CPU’s) and their regular hours of operation. A CPU, located inside a retail establishment and operated by the retailer's employees, is an authorized contractor for the Postal Service. Customers can conduct most of the same transactions as they would at the Post Office and at the same prices. Mail accepted by the CPU past the collection time will be dated for the next business day. Customers should check with the establishment for specific holiday hours.
