
WESTON, WV—The 42 annual Jackson Mill Jubilee, will be highlighted by a special cancellation offering featuring Stonewall Jackson’s likeness available at the temporary Post Office station located near the Livestock Barn at this year’s festival.
On Saturday, September 3, Weston Postmaster Brian Kisamore will be on hand to provide the coveted cancellations to include a special “Jackson Mill Jubilee” postmark specially designed for Jackson Mills Jubilee Temporary Post Office station and festival.
Limited edition philatelic items, to include a limited number of Special Commemorative Pictorial Souvenir envelopes will also be available for purchase at the station
For those unable to attend the event wishing to obtain the pictorial envelope cancellation, there will be a limited number of envelopes cancelled at the close of the Jubilee that day, which will be offered for sale via mail order. Submit a mail order request, to Jackson’s Mill Jubilee P.O. Box 370, Weston, WV 26452. Please include $5 and a large stamped envelope large enough suitable to return the business - sized envelope.
Philatelists may also write Brian Kisamore, Postmaster, Weston, WV 26452, within 30 days of September 3, 2016 and request to have your stamp cancelled with the Jubilee “Bull’s Eye” postmark. All requests to the POSTMASTER must include a stamped envelope or postcard bearing at least the minimum First-Class Mail postage - and should be addressed to yourself. There is no charge for this service; however, you will not receive the commemorative pictorial envelope.
