FULKS RUN, VA — The U.S. Postal Service officials announced that a decision has been made to relocate the Fulks Run Main Post Office.
A public meeting was held on December 22, 2015, at the Fulks Run Elementary School to discuss the planned move after the landlord notified the agency of his plans to terminate the lease. The Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Fulks Run community. After careful consideration of all concerns expressed, the Postal Service has decided to proceed with the yet-to-be determined location.
The Postal Service’s goal is to select a new facility as close to the current site a possible. The new facility will allow USPS to offer a safe working environment for employees and still maintain the same level of quality service currently provided at Fulks Main Post office located at 12274 Brocks Gap Road.
Postal operations will continue at the existing location until the replacement facility is open and fully functional.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
