LADYSMITH, VA –The Ladysmith Main Post Office is moving from 18200 Jefferson Davis Highway to its new location at 18014 Jefferson Davis Highway on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016.

The hours at the new office will remain the same: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. – close for lunch noon to 1 p.m.  Saturday open from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The office is a brand new retail space and is handicapped-accessible.  There will be 24 hour lobby access, allowing customer to retrieve their Post Office Box mail anytime throughout the day or night. The move will not impact mail delivery.

“We are very pleased to move to our new facility,” said Ladysmith Postmaster Jeannette Waldron. “We look forward to providing continued excellent service to the customers we serve each and every day.”

The current Ladysmith Main Post Office is a leased building and the landlord notified USPS of plans to terminate the lease, which prompted a search for the new location.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
