CHARLESTON, WV — Postal Service facilities will be closed for retail transactions on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the 4th of July holiday. There will be no regular mail delivery and limited collection runs will be conducted throughout Charleston and the Appalachian District which encompasses ZIP Codes: 240-243, 245-259, 261-268, 37620-21, 37625, and 41503. 

Although, there will not be regular mail delivery on the 4th of July holiday, Priority Express Mail is delivered 365 days a year and will be delivered on July 4. Normal delivery and collection schedules will resume Wednesday, July 5.

For added customer convenience, Self-Service Kiosks (formerly called Automated Postal Centers®)  are available at the following locations and provide 24-hour access to many postal products and services:

Using a credit or debit card, these self-service kiosks enable customers to conduct business at their convenience. SSKs enable customers to:

  • Purchase self-adhesive “Print-On-Demand” stamps.
  • Weigh, calculate and purchase postage in amounts for items weighing up to 70lbs.
  • Send items via Priority Express Mail, Priority Mail, First Class Mail and by Parcel Post services.
  • Look up ZIP Codes and obtain Postal Service mailing information.
  • Obtain Priority Express Mail, Certified Mail, and Return Receipts
  • Purchase USPS Tracking™ service.
  • Obtain a purchase receipt.
  • Pay Post Office Box rents.
