RED OAK, VA — Postal officials have temporarily suspended retail operations at the Red Oak Post Office, located at 6025 Barnesville Hwy, due to structural damage caused by a car accident. Delivery operations will not be impacted.

Customers can visit nearby Wylliesburg Post Office — located at 790 Barnesville Hwy, Wylliesburg, VA 23976 — for retail transactions. The Wylliesburg Post Office’s hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to noon. Post Office Box customers can pick up their mail at the Wylliesburg Post Office. Please bring photo identification to pick up mail.

No mail in the Red Oak Post Office was damaged as a result of the accident and no timetable has been established for a return to the building.

The Postal Service appreciates customers’ patience as we work to restore operations for this office as soon as possible.
