RICHMOND, VA — In observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, Post Offices will be closed for retail transactions on Thursday, Nov. 23. There will be no residential or business delivery with the exception of Priority Mail Express. Priority Mail Express is delivered 365 days a year and will be delivered on Nov. 23.
Post Offices will be open on a normal schedule on Friday, Nov. 24. Normal delivery and collection schedules will resume Friday, Nov. 24.
Access to postal products and services are offered at alternate locations or online:
- Stamps are available at many grocery, pharmacy and convenience stores.
- For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.com.
There you can print postage online or find the nearest self-service kiosk.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
