BACKGROUND: |
Cloteal Farmer started her postal career with the United States Postal Service in April 1995 as a letter carrier. She served as Customer Services Supervisor, Customer Services Manager and Officer in Charge before being promoted to Colonial Beach Postmaster in 2013. In August 2014, she was assigned to serve as Officer in Charge of Williamsburg Post Office. In September 2016, she became the first black Postmaster of Salem, VA, where she served for nine months. The Charlottesville Main Post Office is located at 1155 Seminole Trail. As Postmaster, Farmer manages all postal operations for the community of Charlottesville, encompassing six ZIP Code areas and almost 61,000 delivery points. The public is invited to attend the event. |
