CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Postal Service will implement a temporary security measure to increase public and employee safety during the Unite the Right 2 Rally. Postal officials will temporarily remove from service some blue mail collection boxes.
The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Friday, Aug. 10. Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 12. Notices of the temporary removal have been placed on the boxes.
