Postal Service Continues Sunday Pickup and Delivery Efforts in Select Caribbean Locations

Regular Saturday Operations Heading into Thanksgiving Week, say Officials

US Postal Service Caribbean District – Postal operations continue with a normal Saturday and a strong Sunday schedule in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands, according to postal officials for the region.

In Puerto Rico, all offices will be open for regular business on Saturday, November 18.   Customers from six area post offices are still directed to alternate pickup locations.  These are:

Toa Baja will also provide pick up service for Toa Alta residents on Sunday.

In the US Virgin Islands, on Sunday, East End, Emancipation Gardens and Charlotte Amalie postal facilities will provide pickup service from 9 am to 1 pm.  The Cruz Bay Post Office will provide service from 10 am to 2 pm.  All USVI postal facilities will open for regular business on Saturday.

Customers who previously visited the Veterans Annex in St Thomas for mail pickup are still directed to Charlotte Amalie while customers of the Frederiksted Post Office in St Croix visit the Kingshill Post Office for mail pickup.

No locations will offer retail services, such as stamp sales or money order transactions, on Sunday.  All postal services resume normal hours, with retail services at 115   locations, on Monday in the Caribbean.

Postal officials also report that all Caribbean post offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23, for the federal holiday observance of Thanksgiving.
