Lyndonville, VT — Today the United States Postal Service announced that it is considering plans to relocate the retail services from the Lyndon Center Post Office building, located at 325 Center Street, Lyndon Center, to a yet-to-be-determined new location as close as reasonably possible to the existing site.
The Postal Service is considering relocation after receiving notice that its landlord will not be renewing its lease when it terminates on March 31, 2015.
Public input is welcome. Postal Officials will make a presentation explaining the details of this plan and listen to public comments before the Lyndon Selectboard at its public meeting scheduled for August 11, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Lyndon Municipal Office Building, 119 Park Avenue, Lyndonville, Vermont.
For those unable to attend the meeting, written comments will be accepted through August 26, 2014. Comments must be in writing and sent to the following address:
