
Naomi Tilton was administered the oath of office as the newly appointed South Barre VT Postmaster on Thursday, June 7, 2018.
Tilton began her career with the U.S. Postal Service in 2004 when she was hired as a PMR/Temporary Rural Carrier at the Graniteville VT Office. In this position she carried mail in many different offices from Montpelier to as far as White River Junction. In 2008, she was selected as a Part Time Flexible employee and soon after she was appointed the officer-in-charge of the South Barre VT Post Office.
From 2009 until 2015, Tilton served as the officer-in-charge of the Graniteville, Moretown, Corinth, and Williamstown VT Post Offices.
In September of 2015, she was appointed as the Postmaster of the Waitsfield VT Post Office and then in 2017 became the Officer-in-Charge of the White River Junction VT Post office.
Since November 2017, Tilton has been serving as the Postmaster of the South Barre VT Office. In her new assignment, she oversees 2 rural routes and 6 employees who deliver mail to more than 1200 delivery points in South Barre & Graniteville, VT.
Tilton is a resident of West Topsham, VT and is married to her husband, Ben. Together they have 2 children: Nick & Greg.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
