LYNDEN — Lynden Postmaster Brian Mouche will unveil the U.S. Postal Service’s Winter Olympic Games commemorative stamp during the Lynden Chamber of Commerce’s meeting Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Homestead Farms Golf & Convention Center, 115 E. Homestead Blvd.

Those individuals interested in attending must register with the Chamber of Commerce and pay a $14 fee for lunch. The 44-cent First-Class stamp will also be available for purchase. The event runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

The Winter Olympic Games will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Feb. 12-28, 2010.

“With this stamp featuring an illustration of a snowboarder, the Postal Service continues its tradition of honoring the spirit of athleticism and international unity inspired by the Olympic Games,” Mouche said.

Illustrator Steve McCracken designed the stamp portraying an airborne snowboarder against the backdrop of a snow-capped mountain.
