CARSON, WA — A fire at the Carson Post Office over the weekend has forced postal officials to relocate services to the Stevenson Post Office located at 90 SW Russell Ave. until further notice.
Carson postal customers who wish to pick up their mail are able to do so beginning Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. Customers will need to have appropriate photo identification ID to claim their mail.
The Stevenson Post Office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers with questions can call 509-427-5532.
“The Postal Service will do everything possible to provide service to the community while emphasizing the safety of our employees and customers as our first priority,” said Carson Postmaster Steve Chambers.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
