DARLINGTON, WI – The Darlington Post Office is hiring Rural Carrier Assistants (RCAs) to help sort and deliver the mail.  No experience required, training is provided.

“We’re looking for motivated applicants,” said Darlington Postmaster Rose Schulte. “These are part-time positions that can lead to a career with the Postal Service.”

Salary for this position is $17.40 per hour paid bi-weekly, with variable work hours and work days, including holidays and weekends. Start time is flexible and successful applicants must be available when called to report to work.

  • Sorting, delivering, collecting mail on foot and/or by vehicle under a variety of weather conditions
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive customer service experience
  • Must be able to provide own vehicle and outfit it for right-hand drive delivery. The Postal Service can provide a kit for a fee
  • Working variable hours up to 6 days a week
  • Must be 18 years of age and not enrolled in high school
  • Must pass criminal background check and pass drug screening
  • Must have valid driver’s license (2 years continuous) and good driving record
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident alien status
