VIOLA, WI – Due to flooding that occurred on Tuesday, August 28, the Viola, WI Post Office has been temporarily closed until further notice.
No employees or customers were in or near the facility at the time of the incident.
Delivery, Retail and Post Office Box operations will be temporarily relocated to the La Farge, WI Post Office located at 205 W. Main Street. Retail window hours are Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM with an hour lunch closure from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Saturday 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM. Customers may retrieve their PO Box mail or notice left items during those hours with photo ID.
The Postal Service will do everything possible to continue providing uninterrupted service to the community while emphasizing the safety of our employees and customers as our first priority. At this time, it is unknown when services will resume at the Viola facility.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
