JULIAN, WV — The Appalachian District of USPS has announced that it has proposed to relocate the Julian Main Post Office and reestablish retail services to 677B Julian Road.

The Postal Service held a community meeting to discuss the Post Office’s status on May 25. After carefully considering all comments made at the meeting, the decision was made to proceed with a new space project. The project will allow the Postal Service to reestablish retail operations for our customers in Julian for the long term. The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as are currently provided to our customers at the existing location. The Postal Service plans to continue to offer retail services form the existing Post Office until the replacement facility is open to the public.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
