5 Requests for Special Categories of Records 5-1 General The following guidance applies when responding to requests for certain categories of records that are frequently requested and may involve special processing rules. This chapter concerns requests for six special categories of records: Employee or customer records, such as customer name and address data; Records requested on behalf of Congress; Records subject to litigation; Records requested by a Postal Service collective bargaining unit; Requests from the news media; and Requests for surveys.
