7-2 Color of Ink

All hand–stamped postmarks must be made with black ink unless specifically requested by the customer and approved by Stamp Services.

Another single color ink may be used instead of black if the following conditions are met:

  1. The sponsor or organizer of the event requests a color instead of black.
  2. The requested color is related to and appropriate for the event (such as red for a strawberry festival or green for a forest festival).
  3. Stamp Services at Headquarters approves the request.

    4. Note: The field may not use digital color postmarks. Only Stamp Services is authorized to create and use digital color postmarks.
