Technical Standards — Information and Communication Technology (ICT) purchases generally involve questions of system compatibility, expansion potential, and other complex issues. The Postal Service’s IT organization researches, tests, and evaluates information systems and components to ensure quality and intersystem communication capability. Therefore, it is the policy of the Postal Service to acquire ICT in accordance with the technical standards established by IT and concurred in by the VP, SM.
