The RFP should specify a particular type of contract to provide a basis for comparing proposals, in accordance with Provision 4-1: Standard Solicitation Provisions (September 2016). Potential suppliers should submit proposals in response to the contract type specified. The RFP should state whether alternate proposals containing a different contract type will be accepted. Clause B-3: Contract Type (March 2006), must be included in all contracts awarded without issuing a written solicitation.
