Prior to appointment, the prospective COR must attend the required training and provide a record of its successful completion to the contracting officer. The prerequisite course is SUPM Contracting Officers Representative: COR USPS Course Code 2015SUPM0026SS01 and is accessible in the Postal Service’s online training and development system. The contracting officer can waive this requirement in writing when appropriate. All CORs must be familiar with and abide by the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Ethical Branch, 5 CFR Part 2635, and the Supplemental Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the United States Postal Service, 5 CFR Part 7001.
