Jacksonville, FL – Mail delivery, collections and retail services have been restored to most U.S. Postal Service customers impacted by Hurricane Irma in portions of northern Florida and southern Georgia. In the days immediately following the storm, the Postal Service began an active recovery. We are now open and operational in most locations, and with a few exceptions are providing service, even in the hardest hit areas, where it is safe to do so.
Some postal facilities still remain inaccessible.  We continually assess our facilities to ensure they are safe to occupy.  For those Post Offices still unable to be occupied, we are currently operating in alternate locations until repairs can be made.  Updated information on Post Office operations will be posted to the USPS Service Alerts website accessed through http://about.usps.com/news/service-alerts/welcome.htm
All Post Offices/Stations/Branches/Finance Units have resumed normal operations, with the exception of the below listed offices that remain closed until further notice:

Florida

  • Orange Park Mall (Finance Unit), 1910 Wells Rd, Orange Park FL 32073

Georgia

  • St Simons Island, 1705 Frederica Rd, Saint Simons GA 31422
    • Providing Retail Services via Mobile Retail Unit On-Site

Customers are reminded that service restoration continues daily, and they should check our website regularly or call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) for the latest information on their mail service.  We are committed to serving our customers and to being there for the residents of Houston, as recovery from Hurricane Harvey continues.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
